An Update On My Internship

As you may know from my last post, an important aspect of my study abroad this summer will be working at an internship. I'll have my classes, but I will also work between 25-40 hours each week. In my last post, I did not know what my internship would be. I had been in the process of interviewing with one or two people, finishing my finals, and moving out of my dorm. All in all, it was a hectic time. On the day that I moved out of my dorm, I received an email saying that an interview had been arranged for later that morning with a professor. The internship that I would have with him would be to serve as a research assistant. I was thrilled about this opportunity and the ability to use my statistics (yeah surveys!). Though there were several complications along the way, the internship was confirmed on May 15th, so that is where I will be interning! I am so thankful not only that I got an internship but that it is one that I am already so excited for.

PS:
I leave for Milan in 6 days.
I start my study abroad program in 8 days.

The First Step

Welcome to A Milanese Mosaic! My name is Catie and in 27 days I will be arriving in Milan, where I will be studying abroad for 2 months. While there, I plan to explore the city, fill my hard-drive with photographs, and share all of it with y'all. In addition to exploring all that the city has to offer, I will be working at an internship. While I don't currently know where I will be working, as soon as I find out, I'll share it right here.

As to the blog, I will be sharing all sorts of adventures, from shopping and dining, to museums and weekend trips, to life as an intern. Due to the vague nature of the content, I thought that the word mosaic would best describe it. After all, a mosaic is defined as "a combination of diverse elements forming a more or less coherent whole."

So y'all know, I'll be studying with IES Abroad:
It looks like I'll have an amazing time with them this summer!
